The Site
My Roseate Spoonbill Trilogy was taken on the morning of August 31 at Green Cay Nature Center & Wetlands in Delray Beach, Florida.
The Capture
The sun was unusually bright at this time of morning. I almost walked by this Spoonbill as I couldn’t see the pink initially. After bathing in the sun and water for about fifteen minutes, the Spoonbill began to stretch it’s wings. At that moment, the magic began to happened. I had to dodge around a bunch of weeds to get a clear path but once settled, it was a beautiful sight and lasted for quite some time. Recently, all three images, Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3 have been posted to a Facebook group, Florida Wildlife Photography. The response has been outstanding!!!
